Leadership

“I have truly found my calling— I have the honor of working with an exceptional group of people that truly are trying to make a difference and I believe this is the highest calling one can have. Our residents are family and being a part of that family ensures that there is never a dull moment and I learn something new from them each day!”

Wendy Stroud

LNHA

Administrator

With a personal calling to the skilled nursing facility industry since 2000, Wendy started her career as an Admissions Director where she learned firsthand how to assist and onboard new residents and their families. From there, she learned the operations from the ground up and was promoted to lead as an Administrator. With a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Barton College, she meets each new day with a commitment to make a difference in the lives of her front-line team while providing the highest level of care to the residents they collectively serve. Originally from eastern North Carolina, she recently relocated to Goldsboro to support Willow Creek Nursing & Rehab to continue her passion for long-term care and love of working with people.

“I truly love Long-Term Care it gives me the opportunity to spend time with residents in a home type environment. In Long-Term Care you truly get to know your residents; they become family. ”

Joanne L. Loftin

MSN, RN

Director of Nursing

With over fifteen years of nursing experience, Joanne started her journey in healthcare at the age of 17, working as a Pharmacy Technician while completing high school. From there, she obtained her Certificate in Surgical Technology and knew it was just the beginning of her true calling— to become a nurse leader. Earning her Master’s in Nursing Administration from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2017, she knew from the onset that she would dedicate her nursing career to the skilled nursing facility industry, with a calling to serve our most vulnerable community members. With a commitment to providing excellence in care, Joanne is keenly focused on education and training. While leading a diverse team of dedicated team members, she takes time out of each day to spend time with Willow Creek’s residents and family members.

“My goal is to consistently support the wellbeing of our residents and provide quality care. I have witnessed firsthand the warmth and excitement it brings to service our residents, family members and community.”

Chauncey Mathis

Admissions Director

With over twenty years of experience in the skilled nursing facility industry, Chauncey has served in multiple roles during her tenure, providing consistent care, love and service to residents and their families. Born and raised in Wayne County, she is the first point of contact for new residents and their loved ones. Her deep knowledge of the onboarding process helps alleviate stress for the family, while reducing their administrative burden. During her personal time, she continues to give back by volunteering at Habitat for Humanity, Meals On Wheels, and Wayne County Senior Groups. Passionate about senior care, it is not uncommon to find Chauncey hosting or participating in many educational and community events that promote senior wellness throughout the year. While working full time and volunteering, she is also pursuing her degree in Business Administration to further her skillset and advance her career in the industry.
